Two Continuum Pieces is purely acoustic, full of drones and natural percussions, Tubular Drums, Drops and Springs & Cuve, Bidon et Fils - were composed and recorded during the '90's by Pierre Berthet helped by Brigida Romano. Recorded on location with a mobile studio and an armada of mikes in the country side near Brussels. Sound installations, home-made instruments, found objects.


Pierre Berthet studied percussion with André Van Belle and Georges-Elie Octors. Improvisation with Garrett List. Composition with Frederic Rzewski. Music theory with Henri Pousseur.
He designs and builds sound objects and installations (steel, plastic, water, magnetic fields, ...). He presents them in exhibitions and solo or duo performances with Brigida Romano (Continuum Asorbus, CD on Sub Rosa) or Frédéric Le Junter (Berthet / Le Junter CD on Vandoeuvre). He collaborated with 13th Tribe" (Ping Pong Anthropology, CD). Played percussion in Arnold Dreyblatt's Orchestra of Excited Strings (Animal Magnetism, CD on Tzadik; The Sound of One String", CD on Table of the Elements).
